Privacy
Updated 6 July 2026
playwhitenoise has no accounts, no ads and nothing to sign up for, so there is very little to tell. This page lists everything the site stores or measures.
Settings stay on your device
Your last-played sound and volume are saved in your browser's local storage so the player picks up where you left off. That data never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes it. If you install the site as an app, played sounds are also cached locally so they replay offline.
Anonymous visit statistics
We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to count page visits and measure loading performance. These are cookie-free and aggregate — they do not identify you, follow you across sites or build a profile. We see totals like “how many people played a sound today”, never who they were.
No third-party tracking
There are no advertising networks, no social-media pixels and no data brokers on this site, and we do not sell or share anything. The audio files are served from our own domain.
